The essence of Catholic Christian discipline is self-discipline. The school’s aim is to assist students in exhibiting respectful and courteous behavior during school time and at all school related activities.
As members of the St. Hilary School community, students must develop and maintain a POSITIVE ATTITUDE toward themselves and other members of the community. A student who does not manifest a POSITIVE ATTITUDE is contributing little to the growth of the community.
Although St. Hilary School will make every effort to change such an attitude, it may become necessary for the student to be asked to attend school elsewhere.
Teachers are responsible for the maintenance of an atmosphere conducive to learning and to the development of Catholic Christian values. Keeping in mind that no person lives in a utopia, and that discipline is necessary for the benefit of the community as a whole, it is the school’s hope that parents/guardians will support whatever disciplinary action is taken.
