All family units (including single parent units) are required to do 20 hours of service. Each parent/guardian is responsible to turn in a record of service hours to the office for all hours served. The person in charge of service hours will not record them unless records are sent to the office. Whether it be for the fiesta, helping teachers, working fundraisers, attending fundraiser meetings, etc., parents/guardians are responsible to fill out slips, get them signed by the person in charge, and turn them in to the school’s main office. These slips must be filled out before the deadline.
Two notices will be given, one mid-year and the other a month before the deadline. All hours must be met before the deadline. Any service hour discrepancies must be taken care of at the time the notice is received. After the deadline, all un-worked hours are due and payable before registration is accepted for the following school year. These hours must be served only by parents or guardians, not other members of the family. Fiesta and/or Tardeada hours served may not exceed half of the required service hours. In the event of a student’s withdrawal or transfer, the service hour balance must be paid.
